Andy helps companies shape their security strategies, advises leadership teams, and provides risk assessment, security reviews, and incident response services across all industries, particularly for organisations involved in architecture, engineering, construction and operations. Mike Witchell is the Managing Director of AIS BMS, bringing over 32 years of expertise in the HVAC and controls industry. A BEng (hons) graduate, Mike previously held senior roles at Trend Control Systems and JS Humidifiers. An award-winning professional, he is passionate about delivering first-class energy and maintenance solutions.

Mike has been Managing Director for AIS BMS since December 2014.

Prior to working with AIS BMS, Mike was at Trend Control Systems for 16 ½ years, starting as a Training Officer, and ending as the Southern Regional Director. Earlier, he began his career at JS Humidifiers, quickly progressing from a clerk to senior sales engineer and team leader.

Gavin assumed the role of Chief Executive of the FPA in 2024, having previously been Chief Executive of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE) for 6 years. He is a Chartered Building Engineer with a talent for bridging technical matters with effective business management. Originally an architect, Gavin boasts a wealth of experience in the testing, inspection, and certification markets in the sectors of construction, real estate, and sustainability both in the UK and internationally.

Prior to leading CABE, Gavin was Director of Building Performance at the Building Research Establishment (2013-2018), where he oversaw globally leading environmental assessment methods for the built environment including BREEAM and CEEQUAL. He also served as Chairman of the Future Homes Standard Working Group during his membership in the UK Government’s Building Regulations Advisory Committee from 2015-2022.

With a passion for harnessing the power of data to transform traditional office spaces into dynamic, adaptive environments, Matt is a seasoned expert in workplace analytics and insights. With a background in SaaS for high-growth technology companies for more than 15 years, Matt brings expertise on how to leverage technology and data to forecast building utilisation, driving cost savings and sustainability. Andy has worked closely with facilities managers for over 15 years, supporting a wide range of organisations, from FTSE 100s to SMEs manage physical and digital records. Known for his calm, consultative approach, Andy tailors solutions that reduce storage needs, improves compliance and supports digital transformation, making complex facilities management challenges feel clear and achievable.

With 22 years’ frontline and leadership experience, Chris champions governance, DEI, and wellbeing, bringing expertise to strengthen services and professional standards. Chris has served on multiple advisory boards and committees including the Security Industry Authority’s EDI Committee and Security Minds Matter. His most recent board appointment was at the Security Institute.
