Richard Hudson is a Technical Manager in the Innovation & Technical Services division of the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM), the professional body for the resource and waste management sector. In this role, Richard is responsible for supporting CIWMs technical, knowledge sharing, and influencing capability.
Richard has over 35 years’ industrial experience in plastic related roles, covering materials science, manufacturing, processing, R&D, legislation, consultancy, and testing. For the last 20 years he has worked within the plastic recycling and waste management industry and has developed a detailed understanding of the collection, sorting, reprocessing, and exporting of wastes, together with experience of the end markets for secondary raw materials.
